The board of the Hemet Unified School District appointed Dr. Emily Shaw, former idyllwild School principal, as the new Hemet High School principal effective July 1.
Shaw will replace Bill Black who is retiring this summer.
"I'm very excited," Shaw said. "I'll see many of my former students next year."
