Snow! Snow! Jan 3

It snowed and is snowing in Idyllwild. We received between three and five inches last night. The main roads have all been plowed, Hwy 243 looks much better than Village Center Drive (see below). Thanks CalTrans

* snow accumulations: new snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches

   above 4500 feet...except local accumulations to 4 inches above

   5000 feet.  

* timing: greatest coverage from mid morning through mid   

afternoon...then decreasing through early evening.

Today: Snow showers likely. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise,

cloudy, with a high near 39. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is

70%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of snow showers.

Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low

around 31. East wind around 5 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44.
