NWS sees an end, bundle up & Cal Trans notice

.THE LAST IN A SERIES OF PACIFIC STORMS WILL BRING
PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOWFALL TO THE MOUNTAINS THROUGH
FRIDAY.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY MOUNTAINS-118 PM PST THU JAN 21 2010

A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM PST FRIDAY.

PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOWFALL ABOVE 6000 FEET
THIS AFTERNOON...AND 4000 FEET TONIGHT AND FRIDAY.
TOTAL SNOWFALL OF 2 TO 4 FEET IS POSSIBLE ABOVE
6000 FEET...AND 1 TO 2 FEET BETWEEN 4500 AND 6000 FEET.
AREAS OF SOUTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
45 MPH WILL CAUSE NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY
IN BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

Cal Trans has not closed any local highways, R-1 requires
chains on all commercial vehicles
